Striped Dress in Her Library
This is an Original Oil Painting

Maple Shadow Frame
I did only a few paintings in my life that evoke the kind of books I like to read. I LOVE to read. I read and it is one of the only times my brain feels totally at peace. And this amazing woman with her house unashamedly loaded with things she loves is one of my very favorite paintings. I believe this small series of women with Victorian homes with jewel like colors must be coming from my escapism into any book I can read about a strong woman in times that make me just feel the woman power. It is the same story all over history. The woman and her domain.
She is online for sale as part of my resolution not to keep my favorite pieces. She has been living in my studio for a year or two and is an absolute favorite.
If you would rather have the piece shipped unframed then after you purchase it let me know and I will refund you the frame amount. It is normally $40 for very small works to $100 or so for larger ones. So if it not your style let me know!
Shipping is calculated by formula and added automatically to the total sale price. If the shipping cost is less than what you are charged, I will refund the difference.
Local City of Richmond Delivery available and shipping fees will be refunded. For larger works ( 16 x 20 or over) if you live outside the city limits but metro area of RVA, pickup or delivery can be arranged.
