BEFORE YOU BUY AN ORIGINAL PIECE OF ART FROM ME READ THIS!
GOOD THINGS TO KNOW and MAYBE MORE THAN YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT BUYING MY ART!
First off, Thank You. I have been in this business for over 30 years and I never will get used to people buying my work. So much in this modern crazy world we live in is mass produced but these paintings are one of a kind. The original NFT. My prices reflect over 30 years of being a professional painter and have risen accordingly. I know it is a luxury good in the extreme and cannot express how blown away I am each and every time I sell a piece. Thank You.
My frames are exhibition frames and added a gift to have a piece immediately ready to hang. The art is what you are buying. You can easily change the frame but they are all ready to hang. I like instant gratification! Side note: I do sometimes get paint on the frames. I try not to do it but it happens. So you can rest assured it is not mass produced but one of a kind!! I don’t charge extra for the paint on the frames. : ) I am putting mats on works on paper but you don’t have to use them, they just help protect the work in shipment and I like way they look. If you prefer a piece unframed, for most of the work I can do that and will refund the frame cost.
I accept Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Venmo, Paypal for online purchases. On designated sales days, it is best to pay online as work itends to sell more quickly. If you need ro venmo you will have to contact me directly then use venmo lauraloepaintings
The way my sales work: If you see a painting you like, buy it. Until it is paid for it is still offered to any other buyer even if it is in your cart. There are only one of any of the originals and I have seen people really sad when someone gets the painting while you are still looking. I have no real way to change that but until you see the purchase complete , its s up for grabs. Once you buy it you will get an email right away. Once you buy it, I get an order, it is packed and ready to go! I pack the art. myself and make a label. ! I ship requiring a signature so keep that in mind and let me know if that doesn’t work. Once your painting has shipped you will receive a tracking number. I love a fast shipment. and I will try to always get it going as soon as possible. Some paintings require drying time but that is listed on the description of the work. If it doesn't say, then it is ready to go. I am happy to deliver larger paintings locally and can arrange for pickup or delivery of small works depending on when it is needed. One thing is prints I always ship. It is just easier and i have a record of them.
Shipping Much to my dissapointment, I can no longer offer free shipping. Shipping has become a lot more challenging post pandemic and now with tariffs and I have a set shipping rate for my work that will reflect on the painting size and weight . All the paintings are shipped via UPS, insured and require a signature at delivery ( learned the hard way). If the shipping cost added automatically is more than you are charged I will not charge you more, but if it is less I will refund you. if you are in City of Richmond, or close by, we can deliver original oils and refund your shipping costs. Gouache works and Prints are shipped even locally and usually arrive in 2 days. As I said, shipping costs for small business has almost doubled since the pandemic. I am not sure why but I know it is a serious headache for small business.
I pack my own art. I feel like I know a little more about packing my art than the typical person who is at UPS store but if your painting arrives with anything wrong with the box, punctured or torn, or in any away way damaged, it is best NOT to open the box yourself but have the UPS delivery person (or a UPS store) open it to help expedite a claim. Maybe it will be undamaged ( I am a good packer, but if it looks really beat up better safe than sorry. I mainly insure work in case it is lost. My packages aren’t pretty but they are tough. If your painting arrives damaged or gets lost you will get a full refund and I will send you a label to send it back to me.
Returns Buying art unseen is a risk but it does not need to feel like you are stuck if you don’t like it in person. Yes, you can return a painting if you are disappointed. LET ME KNOW! Don’t just keep it if you are unhappy with it because you are worried you might hurt my feelings. I have been doing this for a long time and you are not going to make me cry, I promise. I mean you might but…JK! That being said, I think my art is much better in person than online, because of the vivid colors and the paint handling, but I want you to be happy. Just email me!
Keep in mind, If you return work but you will just have to pay to ship it back to me, insuring it for the price you paid for the work, via UPS. Save your box or take it to a UPS store if this happens. Email me if it is an issue and I can walk you through it. I do ask you to return work dated within 15 days of your receiving it so I can find a new home for it.
I don’t have a cart option ( but then it seems to work sometimes so who knows) so if you buy more than one piece you have to do your transaction twice. But again, any one of a kind oil it is still available until you buy it. But then sometimes I see more than one in a cart so I am not real sure about this. How is that for a sentence. Mysterious cart options is a life goal for me to figure out.
THANK YOU for buying my art. There is no way to know the feeling that gives me. It is the best gift when someone takes one of my paintings into their home. Repeat buyers? I can’t even begin to tell you what that means. Thank You.
Thanks for letting me do this for a job. I never would have believed it. XOXOXOXOX Laura
