Maple Shadow Frame

This painting all started with wanting to paint a big coat with a red bag. Also it is obvious that I am fascinated by snow and as a painter even more so. The fact that there are days where little balls of white are just falling out of the sky will never seem anything but magical. As a painter I have to slow it down and the snow falling is the final touches! I had seen someone walking in the snow with this sweet little bag and it created its own light source and so I painted it. She is serene and the snow is not turning into a blizzard and she is just on her way.
