I think she is a posing for me and if you start to look at other works of mine it has been like that for a long time. That is what is crazy about being a painter. Even I didn't realize that. But they just pose for me. And I love it. She is in very contrasting light the way summer light can fall and of course she is wearing a striped dress. It is one of the themes I come back to over and over again. It is fun to create dappled light. And gives me a feeling of verandas and parks and all the summer feelings.
