I do these abstracts and they take a LONG time. But I love them. They do take me more time because the paint is thickly applied and worked on over months vs my usual approach of alla prima. The goal is color, dimension and paint handling focusing on all around color harmony. I have always loved looking at and making abstract art. It is not as easy as it looks and in fact is much harder in a way. For realistic paintings of any kind your first goal is to find a scenario that appeals to you. With abstract it is finding colors that move and go around until you find the place it feels finished to your own eye.

This Painting is still Drying but will be ready to ship end of February.
