Bluebird Shadows, Skier
Bluebird Shadows, Skier
Original Oil Painting
16 × 20
Oil on Linen
Maple Shadow Frame
One of the last skier paintings from last winter. She is flying down the slopes and anyone who tells me that my shadows are too bright have not been skiing on a bluebird day. Not a cloud in the sky and the shadows present as actual objects they are so solid and blue. Late afternoon just skiing and headed to apres is how I feel when I look at this painting. Skiing presents the same love as the beach. So much of the same color but yet the light hitting the man made colors just make the whole scene dance. Sunshine is a great resource for my work. Obviously.
