This is an Original Gouache Painting

This painting will be shipped matted with a 2 inch white mat to 11 × 14 frame size. The Frame shown is not included but this print will fit in a standard frame easily available.

I love this painting for the contrast of the colors and the subjects. I tend to go to the darker blues for the snow scenes and and love the lightness of this piece, and the little toddler in the snow with her brother or Dad and her Dog.

Gouache is a type of paint that is an opaque water color. It is the water based paint that is approached the most like oil paint in that your highlights are your final brush marks where in water color you leave the white of your paper as the highlights. I have been painting in gouache for as long as I have with oils. They are less expensive because they are more fragile, and oil paintings take so much longer and are much more expensive to produce but the colors on gouache are astounding and they make an amazing statement.

Frame is not included because I simply cannot ship glass. : ) I have learned that the hard way. It is a weakness on my part! But these paintings are matted in a white frame and should pop directly into a very affordable frame.
