She is one of my favorite type gouache paintings to paint. She is simple but has a personality and that red and white dress with sun shining. Its a simpler time!

Gouache is a type of paint that is an opaque water color. It is the water based paint that is approached the most like oil paint in that your highlights are your final brush marks where in water color you leave the white of your paper as the highlights.

I have been painting in gouache for as long as I have with oils. They are less expensive because they are more fragile, and oil paintings take so much longer and are much more expensive to produce but the colors on gouache are astounding and they make an amazing statement.Frame is not included because I simply cannot ship glass. : ) I have learned that the hard way. It is a weakness on my part! But these paintings are matted in a white frame and should pop directly into a very affordable frame.
