This painting is one in a series of works I did from a visit to my daughter who lives in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. I visited recently and she had to work so I wandered around and took pictures of anything I thought was lovely. Turns out it was a lot of lovely things. Charleston has the feel of New Orleans and even Richmond, so the scenes are familiar to me. The goal was a feeling of Charleston and a moment in time. It is an amazing place to live and full of the old and the new and I did quote a few paintings of this beautiful town. The magic of any town is the lights and the stylish walkers and in the case of Charleston. the palm trees.
If you would rather have the piece shipped unframed then after you purchase it let me know and I will refund you the frame amount. It is normally $40 for very small works to $100 or so for larger ones. So if it not your style let me know!
Shipping is calculated by formula and added automatically to the total sale price. If the shipping cost is less than what you are charged, I will refund the difference.
Local City of Richmond Delivery available and shipping fees will be refunded. For larger works ( 16 x 20 or over) if you live outside the city limits but metro area of RVA, pickup or delivery can be arranged.
