This piece called LIFE, is called that for the headline of the magazine featuring RIta Hayworth that is on the top right. She was one of the first things I picked when working on this and it evolved from there into a semblance of objects form the life in the mid century. From a Nehi bottle to the set of pic nic basket cutlery, I arranged objects and ephemera that play on travel, home, commerce and entertainment from that golden time when things surely were not more simple but were advertised that way. The design and illustrations from that time were amazing to me.
