ALL PRINTS FOR SALE I HAVE IN STOCK AND WILL SHIP IMMEDIATELY! I currently only have printsn listed under prints of the Day.
I will be posting new ones as they arrive so make sure and check in often. I will post on Instagram, when I drop new prints. These are signed to show they come from me. There’s a lot of change in the printing world and AI is becoming concerning, so this is just one small way to make sure it is authentic. More valuable with my signature? No. : ) But it is a small validation.
ALL PRINTS ARE STANDARD SIZE. So they should for in standard frames.
I didn’t offer prints before because I was against the idea, I just never found printers who could handle my colors, and then i stopped looking when I would get disappointed. Then I was asked so many times (and my children pointed out it would be a long time before they could actually buy one of my paintings if they ever wanted to and their friends sure couldn’t) that I had the revelation that maybe I needed to explore prints. So I did. This is all coinciding with my children all leaving for college. I finally had the time. It was nothing short of an eye popping jaw drop revelation. Turns out printing has come a long, long way. The paper these are printed on is amazing and I encourage you to take it out of the packing and check it out!
The colors are not the exact same as the original painting but they are not supposed to be. It is a print not an oil. Iahve signed these prints on the front in pencil and on the back of each print it says it is a giclee ( a printing process that is refined for artwork) print of an original painting and what year I painted the painting.
I am a huge believer in original art. There is nothing as unique. That being said, I never had any money to buy real art until well into my lifetime and I was craving good art so I had walls of posters and prints of artists I liked and admired. Posters were so badly printed back then but I LOVED my old Museum Prints. I still can’t throw them away. So yes, original paintings are always my gold standard but this is about as good as I can get it as a reproduction. And I am making every effort to print them a size that will fit in to a standard frame from anywhere that sells frames. The goal is to broaden my audience of who can enjoy this art I make.
When I decided to make prints, I went back in the archives to see what paintings I had, that I loved, that, most importantly, were taken with good enough lighting and resolution from the camera I used to make into prints. This special offer print sale are all paintings I really love AND as importantly, I wanted to do a variety to make sure of the quality. There is not much rhyme or reason for the ones I picked for this debut. Just ones I thought would work. Then I started looking at all my paintings and um, I have a lot of paintings. This will be a fun thing to do for me, honestly.
Prints are framed under glass, and it is a completely different way to present an image. It is exciting to me. I am a little mesmerized at the quality. But is a print have the feel of a real oil with the tactile quality and vibrancy of a real oil? No. And it is not supposed to. It is a print. And image I made for you to be able to enjoy. ALL PRINTS ARE STANDARD SIZE. So they should for in standard frames.
If you have an original painting of mine offered as a print. Be flattered that means I think it is a great painting. It will not take away from your piece of art and maybe even make it more valuable. An original is an original. They are truly a different animal.
