Maple Shadow Frame

This piece is a typical still life of mine that brings organic fruit and flower shapes together and then adds glass bottles. I am always drawn to transparent bottles because you can push the colors and play with the highest key areas, exaggerating the highlights and beautiful blue colors you get with this kind of work. Blue is not often a flower color so that is why the blue bottles play heavily in my still lifes. All of my still life paintings are thinly veiled abstracts and they could not be more fun to paint.
