The kitchen at Nimrod is pretty amazing because it is all white and all the counter tops are old weathered stainless steel that has been rubbed smooth. We also have no AC so they are always warm to the touch. This little series came from picking tomatoes right off the vines out in the garden that were nice and hot from the sun and then putting them on the counter. It looked beautiful and felt like Summer but mostly the moment just needed to be captured. As you can see, I played around with these and made them more or less abstract, but when I see them, that is still what I remember.
