This is an Original Oil Painting

Part of my umbrella obsession series is this painting with my striped umbrellas, towel and striped fence and the glowing yellow umbrella. In these paintings my overall attempt is to catch the holiday spirit of this scene. No matter what or where I am if I see this kind of moment in time I am happier.

The little guy in the towel might be my favorite part of this painting. He makes the whole feel of the late afternoon summer day feel complete. I didn't set out to paint him but he completes the feel of a late summer afternoon and it is one I am proud of.
