This is not a painting but an assemblage of many objects that I collect. I take the objects and put them in a box together in a way I fins interesting. I do not overthink these assemblages, but just go for it intuitively. I get a lot of joy from the odd, vintage, quirky items I find and want to keep and the best way I do that is to make them into wall art. I have been enjoying the scissor series since I did them in the winter. They are not framed as the pine of the box they are in creates one. a pair of vintage scissors is the focal point of each of these pieces, with this one including a delightful ceramic bird with an interesting expression.
