Maple Shadow Frame Large

I did a series of paintings that are mostly neutrals with colors coming through. The way to get what I am looking for means you paint a painting first, then let it dry and layer the neutral colors on top. It takes a long time but gives you a feel, especially with the way the paint is thickly applied, that is much weightier than the piece may appear. It is light but substantial and is much more interesting with the paint handling and bursts of color than what I can get to photograph.
