Oil on Birch Panel

Maple Shadow Frame

Shipping is Included. This painting is ready to ship. I typically ship UPS and it normally takes 3-5 days depending on how close you are to Richmond, VA.

I worked on this piece for months and added and took away and scraped and just did whatever I wanted to get it to a place I love. And I love it now. It is a labor of love the kinds of works. I think the texture and the way the paint sits on the panel is as important as the imagery. It is abstract in that it came from nothing but beginning marks, but I feel like it veered into a nautical feeling. Or not. It is more of a true blue and less of a turquoise back ground. The lighting can shift the colors a little but it has literally every blue in there somewhere. I wish pI painted more of these. I have no idea why I paint what I do or don’t but dome of my abstracts have a long lasting awkward phase which makes them even more appreciated by me when they break out of it.
