Maple Shadow Frame

A lifetime obsession with painting stripes is what I am realizing looking back at all these years of work. It is a little bit crazy but you can make a skirt move in the breeze almost no better way. This painting was a bit of an homage to the blue hydrangea becasue to be honest, what a gift it is to the artist to be able to use blue in a flower. There is a lot of beautiful greens and in the fall we get to use red and oranges but wow, the blue. I return to the hydrangea over and over and if you know my work, this figure will look familiar.
