Solid Maple Frame

A little snow painting is a subject I visit again and again. I am not a winter person. In fact, the only good thing about winter to me is snow. I also like a fire and hot cocoa and stuff like that but in all honesty- snow is the appeal. Ideally I would have it snow for 2 months and then winter would be over. We are fortunate enough to be able to go snow skiing in the winter and this is when I REALLY love snow. I did this painting from a photo I took- literally had to pull over and try to dog my phone out of my 10,000 layers and take a picture of how the sun illuminated the mountain behind the purple snow bank. I am glad I did because I love this painting.
