This piece is another of my works that is an abstract piece of objects that remind me of summertime and for good reason. I did an entire series of paintings to try to capture what summer means to me. It is one of my favorite paintings not in small part because the ice cream kid looks a little like my child, Charlie. That was not on purpose though, so I am making myself at least try to sell it. This is a really large piece of art and would be stunning in a house with large ceilings but I have also hung it in a more confined space and it worked well. The picture reference ceiling is about 10 feet. I included references so that you can see the paint handling on this piece and more detail.  I love the kid with the ice cream. In person and in the painting.
